Catching up

So hopefully no one read and seriously thought that I might be able to keep up with this blog once a week. Well here it is almost Christmas and I haven't blogged in quite awhile. Babies have a way of sucking up most of your time. Oh well. Anyway there's been a few Addystones so mention, first off she has now gotten two teeth.

I noticed these beasts on Thanksgiving she was 3 1/2 months old. Everyone keeps saying "Isn't she too young to have teeth?" Well obviously not there's two right there and here's your proof.

This is super serious talk to toys time. She really give thems a thorough talking to.

So Christmas came a little early, what of it? We got her this as part of her Christmas, she loves it. I had to put it together when I had the time or it never would have gotten done. As with anything new your have to slowly introduce it to Addy, we had to do the same with the high chair. Now she'll sit and play forever.
We've graduated to Rice Cereal! She loves it, probably too much. She's always wanting more when it's all gone. She just had her 4 month old checkup and it's doing very well. She's 14 lb 5 oz and 25 and 3/4 inches long. She's rolling over and practically sitting up on her own. We realized that we better hurry up and get the house "baby proofed" or she'll be into everything before we know it.

Christmas is in a couple of days and I hope to have another updated post about those happenings.

Addy's first laugh

Addy decieded to let us hear her sweet little laugh for the first time last night. We were giving her a bath and playing with her and her duck. At first we weren't really sure what we heard and then she did it again. It was definitly a laugh, Clint ran and got the camera. Luckily she laughed a couple more times so we were able to catch it on camera. I tried to upload the video on here but it won't let me. Guess I'll have to work on it and try to get it on here.

Happy 3 Month Birthday Adeline Grace!!

Today marks Addy's 3 month birthday! Too bad she had to go in for a check-up with the doctor. At least she didn't have to get shots this time, she just hates getting down to nothing but a diaper. Everything went good, she's grown another inch and gained almost another pound. She's slowed down in the weight gaining department and traded it for the getting tall. Doctor said she's looking great and she's developing wonderfully.

I took this picture of us today and when I looked at it I laughed so hard. She is getting pretty good at making the funniest faces and you always know what she is thinking, by the way she uses her eyebrows.

We are so proud of our snugga bug. We couldn't have asked for a better baby. She's been sleeping through the night for the past couple of weeks. Even when she didn't she only woke up once to eat. She's so alert and wants to take everything she possibly can. It doesn't help with naps, she doesn't want to cause she's afraid something will happen if she naps.

We bought this outfit over a month ago it's 6-9 months so it's huge on her, but the jeans are so cute I couldn't help having her wear them today. She still fits into most of her 0-3 month clothing but in her pj's her feet are too long for the feetie pj's. We might have to move up a size so her feet have more room. She's also discovered her hands. She always has them in her mouth and then puts her slobbery little hands all over me. She's also working on rolling from her back to her right side. She can do it if she starts on her belly, but she doesn't find it as fun as starting on her back and trying to go to tummy. She also likes it if you grab her hands and pull her to a sitting position. Apparently it's great fun, we always get big smiles for that. Anyway, that's Addy's update for now. I'm gonna try to do little updates every week just so I can document her changes and happenings as they happen so I don't forget anything.

Addy's first Halloween!

Here's a good shot of her Halloween pantalones. We thought they were pretty cute. It is very difficult to find Halloween costumes for such little ones. Plus all the cute ones are for older babies anyway. Next year will be a ton of fun since she'll be able to understand the holiday maybe a little and participate.

This year Clint and I took her "Trick or Treating" to my Grandparent's house so they could see her in her Halloween outfit. There were no tricks and I ate her treats. She got them a little later. Wink Wink.

Being the mom of a 2 month old I never did get my usual Halloween treats and what not done. I usually make Sour Cream Sugar Cookies and go all out, make my own frosting and decorate them. I never got them done even though I told Clint I would. We usually carve pumpkins, I never even remembered to buy them. I dug out the stencils but never utilized them. Guess I had something else more important to take care of. I would give up all the cookies, pumpkin carving, and costumes in the world a million times to be with my Addy baby.

Afternoon trip to Jackson

This last Saturday Oct. 22nd, we decided to drive up to Jackson and have some lunch. Clint felt like Chinese, but most of you know living in Star Valley doesn't accommodate that request. So off to Jackson to go to Ocean City we went.

We ate lunch, then we walked the square cause hey we didn't have much else going on. It would've been kinda a waste to drive all the way up there to eat and come home. While walking and browsing through stores I found a sweet hoodie deal. $10 was a steal, plus I might have forgotten one in my quick exit from the valley and I was freezing. So that sealed the deal for me.

Since we were already in Jackson and Jackson has a Dairy Queen we stopped and got some Blizzards. Addy sat with us and talked at us the whole time. She was so good. After Dairy Queen we figured since we were already that far why not drive up to the park and see if we can see any animals.
The only animals besides a herd of Tatonka in the distance were these guys. They were hanging out on the hillside on the road to Kelly, Wyoming. These Antelope sure didn't care that I got all in their faces.

Sorry about the bovine "butt shot" I swear I didn't mean it.
You can't go to GTNP without getting a picture of the Tetons right? Plus on this day the clouds were hanging on to the tops of the mountains.

Adeline 8-10 weeks

Addy is moving right along. Tonight she was talking away and trying to roll over to her right side. She never made it fully but gave it a really good shot.
This is from today, we have floor play and talk time. Roxy and Jake decided to join in the fun today. Then it turned into a dog wrestle party. By the way this is techincally her Halloween outfit we figured she should probably wear it more than once.
We might be a little bias, but we think she is pretty dang cute. She's learning and discovering so much everyday. She's not our little newborn anymore, she's a 2 month old infant well on her way to her next phase of life. We have to sit back and take in everything she does everyday because everyday is different.

We are entering new territory

We, well I mean I decided to enter the blogging world. It's better to do longer more detailed posts. Can't really do too much with facebook.

Here's a pic of Addy she was about 7 weeks in this one. I can't believe she is 10 weeks old now. It's crazy how fast the time goes.  Stay tuned for more posts. Hopefully I will be able to keep up.
